Launching the Flood Resilient Future Challenge: Innovating for a safer T&T

Flooding is a complex reality for Trinidad and Tobago, but we believe the most transformative solutions come from those who stand to inherit the problem– our youth. The INFLUENCE project is eager to officially launch the Flood Resilient Future Challenge. We need solutions and we’re challenging you to design it.

Flooding is current and intensifying reality for Trinidad and Tobago. Addressing this issue requires input and innovation from across all sectors in society. The INFLUENCE project is eager to officially launch the Flood Resilient Future Challenge inviting the youth of Trinidad and Tobago to share their creativity and insight for transformative solutions in an effort to build more resilient communities.  

The Competition runs from 4th May to 3rd July, 2026.

Competition Tracks

  • Functional & Aesthetic Flood Barrier Concept
  • Interactive & Educational Media 
  • Mural or other Public Art Design

Dates to Note

Judging is scheduled to take place between 6th July until 15th August 2026.

The final results and prize winners will be revealed during the window of 16th August and  6th September 2026.
